Public Records Management
This twelve-hour course (1.2 CEU) is a comprehensive review of Florida’s Public Records Laws and requirements intended for Florida public agency records custodians, Records Management Liaison Officers (RMLO), management and staff.
The course is designed to provide
- An overview of Public Record Laws to include categories, requirements and restrictions relative to access, privacy, scheduling, and dispositioning.
- Management techniques to include file arrangements, equipment and supplies, and cost analysis.
- A review of information management technologies will compare and contrast microfilm with optical imaging and related indexing strategies.
- Dispositioning options to include off-site storage, vital records protection, and data processing recovery.
*Continuing ducation units can be earned for EdTrek programs scheduled through select Institutes of Government (IOG's). Typically each hour of instruction earns .1 CEU.
