Refund Policy

Florida Institute of Government Refund Policy

To be eligible for a refund, customers must meet the following criteria:

Online Courses:

Customers have 45 days to request a refund in writing from the date of registration.  The Course Code provided upon confirmation of registration must be unused. If you start an online course and are unable to complete it, the Institute retains the right to refuse a refund.

Webinars:

Refund requests must be made in writing 5 days prior to the webinar date.  Attendance of any portion of a live webinar forfeits your right to a refund.  Except in the case of contractual or technical issues, recordings will be made available for a limited time to those who are unable to attend or attend only a portion of any live webinar.

In-Person Events:

Refund requests must be made in writing 5 days prior to the first date of the event.

Substitutions:

For all training offered by the Florida Institute of Government, substitutions are permitted. Notice of substitution must be made in writing prior to the event. For online training, the substitution must be made in writing within 45 days from the registration date and before the Course Code is redeemed. For live webinars, the substitution must be made in writing prior to the live start time of the webinar. For in-person training, the substitution must be made in writing 2 days before the event start date.

Emergencies:

Exceptions to this policy can be made in emergency situations.   These exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

If your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card or original method of payment.  Processing time may vary based on your card issuer’s policies and the availability of the University Transact eMarket staff.

Refunds will be made minus a 20% administrative fee unless otherwise noted.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact info@iog.fsu.edu.
